Domaine Reine Juliette is a sixth-generation, family estate based on the Mediterranean coast. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel, so there is no oak effect in it. Alcohol hits only 12.5% av and it sells for $16 at Whole Foods Market.
This wine has a light straw color with a very slight frizzante quality. The nose shows lemon, apricot, and a floral component. On the palate there is plenty of citrus minerality, a touch of stone fruit, salinity, and an acidity that's zippy, almost racy. The sip finishes quickly, but leaves minerals and Meyer lemon behind. Use it as an aperitif or pair it with oysters or shellfish of any sort.
